For my birthday, my sister-in-law gave me a box filled with coffee grind and mushroom spores. All I had to do was cut a hole in it and spray it with water – and we had a harvest of mushrooms within a week.
The best part was, of course, the eating. I’ve never been too experienced at cooking mushrooms on their own – always using them in other dishes but never featuring them.
Trying them sautéed slowly with some Garlic and some cultured PepeSaya butter turned out to be a fantastic way to prepare them.

Apparently the box is good for 3 or 4 harvests – so we’ll be trying the same thing again next week!
